Pool was everywhere on my X feed in early 2026. Fintech apps rarely stop me mid-scroll, but their design language did: sharp typography, generous whitespace, that unmistakable Apple-coded restraint where every element earns its place. I didn't have a brief, a client, or a deadline. I just had a feeling that their product could be pushed a step further into that premium territory, and I wanted to see if I was right.
So I opened After Effects and started building. No script handed to me this time, I wrote the story adaptation myself, worked out the pacing, picked the transitions that felt closest to how Apple would frame a product reveal: confident, unhurried, letting the interface breathe instead of overselling it. I spent a few days layering motion, refining timing, building a soundscape that matched the visual restraint instead of fighting it.
I posted the concept on X without much expectation, mostly curious how people would react to a fintech product treated like a flagship device launch. It went viral. Pool themselves noticed, reached out, and told me they loved what I had put together.
