Shotbase is a screen recording tool built by Dudu and his team, designed to make capturing and sharing your screen feel simple, fast, and intuitive.
For the launch, I was responsible for the entire motion design process — from the initial storyboard and visual direction to animation, transitions, sound design, and music. Since the product itself is heavily UI-driven, a big part of the challenge was finding the right balance between clearly showcasing how Shotbase works and making the film feel like a polished launch piece rather than a traditional product demo.
The project gave me a lot of room to focus on what I enjoy most: UI motion. Every interaction, transition, camera move, and composition was designed around the interface, with a strong focus on pacing and visual hierarchy. The goal was to guide the viewer through the product naturally while keeping the motion clean, intentional, and engaging throughout a much longer format than my usual work.
Because this was a major launch for Shotbase, the project grew into one of the larger pieces I have worked on. Maintaining consistency across the full video was especially important — from the way UI elements entered the frame to how scenes connected, how attention moved across the interface, and how the sound supported each interaction.
I handled the project from start to finish, including storyboarding, motion direction, animation, SFX, and music, which allowed the entire film to feel like one cohesive piece rather than a collection of separate scenes.
It was a real pleasure working with Dudu and the Shotbase team and helping shape how the product was introduced through motion.
